Overview
Penelope is the wife of Odysseus and queen of Ithaca in Homer's Odyssey. She is the daughter of Spartan king Icarius, and the mother of Telemachus. Different sources describe her as the mother of figures such as Poliporthes, Arcesilaus, Italus, Mamilia, and the god Pan.
