- ↑ Due to the extended length of the Indian Pacific over its summer season, passengers disembark at Kalgoorlie station for their tours and the Indian Pacific continues to the crossing loop at Golden Ridge, with re-boarding via staircase.
- ↑ The Indian Pacific does not stop at Katoomba, continuing direct to Sydney. For passengers who opt to disembark at Mount Victoria for tours, a private charter train hired from Sydney Trains later collects them from Katoomba and runs express to Sydney.
